Wendy’s is a well-known brand in the US and the UK. It also has a presence in Brazil, Columbia, India, and many other countries. However, after 40 years, Wendy’s has opened its first restaurant in Australia this Wednesday, situated near Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Flynn Group, a US-based restaurant franchisee, acquires Wendy’s Australia. They signed up for Wendy’s Australia master franchise rights in 2023. Flynn Group is well-known for its ownership of almost all the Pizza Hut franchises in Australia and they also own a lot of Wendy’s, Arby’s, Taco Bell, and Applebee’s franchises in the US.

The restaurant design of the Gold Coast Wendy’s in Australia features a prominent blue color. Many popular menu items in the US will be on the Wendy’s menu in Australia featuring Dave’s classics, Baconator, the iconic Frosty, Crispy and Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, and Salads.

Wendy’s first opened its restaurant in Australia 40 years ago in 1982, which was not a success. After 11 outlets, the chain dropped its restaurants in Australia. Now after so many years, it has launched again with a target of 200 outlets by 2034. Locals are very excited about this launch. Families and students from all over Australia are coming to enjoy the square beef patties. Let’s hope for the best.
